FundScrip
FundScrip is Canada's leading gift card fundraising program. Since 2004, Canadian organizations have put their trust in FundScrip, raising over $17 million dollars to support their causes. CFUW Sudbury has been participating for nearly 6 years, with proceeds supporting community projects.
It's a simple concept – you purchase plastic gift cards from over 200 leading retailers and pay for your merchandise, gas, food, entertainment, etc. with the cards rather than use credit, debit or cash. CFUW Sudbury receives a rebate on each card purchased, ranging from 2% to 10% of the value of the card.

FAQsHow do I place my order?
One way is to complete a paper order form and submit it to the Program Administrator along with a cheque for the value of the order. The order is electronically submitted to FundScrip and the cheque deposited in a special bank account. FundScrip then withdraws the total value of the orders and mails the cards to the Program Administrator for distribution. Contact ma.roscoe@persona.ca who will arrange to obtain your paper order form and cheque and place your order for you. Another way is to place and pay for one's own orders on FundScrip's secure website, www.fundscrip.com Your cards are delivered right to your home. For instructions, watch the video on the website or get in touch with the Program Administrator. Our Invitation Code is C84DW2. What will it cost me? It doesn't cost participants or the Club anything. You buy plastic gift cards for items and activities you would have purchased anyway. You receive the full value of the card – if you order a $100 card for Shoppers Drug Mart, you get a $100 card. In addition to the recurring spending on food, gas, restaurants and entertainment, popular local suppliers include Home Sense, Marshalls, Winners, Walmart, Home Depot, Home Hardware, Chapters, Sport Chek, Mark's, PetSmart, Canadian Tire, Best Buy and Pier 1 to name a few. You don't have to change where you shop or what you buy. How do I pay? You can pay by cheque, by credit card (VISA and Mastercard), by electronic funds transfer from one's individual bank account or by online banking bill payment. How will our FundScrip rebates be used? In 2019, CFUW will celebrate its 100th birthday nationwide. We have committed to contribute to the National 100th Anniversary Scholarship and locally to support the Sudbury Youth Orchestra. Thank you for your interest and support! Mary Ann Roscoe FundScrip Program Administrator |

Why I participate in the FundScrip fundraising program. There are two reasons. It helps to raise funds for CFUW Sudbury because our club gets a rebate on each card purchased. These rebates range from 2% to 10% and the value of the gift cards ranges from $10 to $1000. It is also a painless way to shop for gifts for family and friends. I have two nieces and a nephew in that difficult age range – 16 to 25 years. What do I buy them for birthdays, Christmas and other celebrations? They have their own tastes which do not necessarily correspond with mine. FundScrip is the answer. Since I started with FundScrip this year, I have given them Cineplex gift cards. My nephew will be moving into a house with friends at the University of Guelph and he will benefit from a grocery card and a gas card. My nieces will benefit this year from La Senza and La Vie en Rose gift cards. I have purchased gift cards for movies, restaurants and grocery stores for other family members and friends. These gift cards are appreciated by all my family members, and at the same time, CFUW Sudbury benefits. FundScrip rebates will generate funds for CFUW’s 100th anniversary celebrations, both nationally and locally. Once you decide to participate in FundScrip, you will wonder what took you so long to get on board! |
